Cara Delevingne has made fashion history.
The
21-year-old model - who graced the cover of Vogue in March 2013 and
January 2014 - has been unveiled as the face of this year's September
issue, making her the first model to appear on the cover of the fashion
bible three times over 18 months.
The British beauty
dons the cover in a retro-inspired jacket, complete with her signature
bushy eyebrows and smouldering black eye make-up, reports The Daily Star
newspaper.
The upcoming edition - out August 4 - is
the magazine's biggest ever fashion issue featuring 462 pages of style
news, features and photoshoots.
The news comes just days after Cara was unveiled as Topshop's first ever solo campaign star.
NATURAL ENERGY
The
former 'Victoria's Secret' angel fronts the high street store's latest
collection, becoming the first model to front a campaign for the popular
brand on her own.
Cara appears in 12 images for the
campaign, which was shot by Alasdair McLellan, while the sultry shoot
was styled by Topshop's creative director Kate Phelan.
According
to Telegraph.co.uk, Kate - who is also a former Vogue fashion editor -
is thrilled with the new collaboration and labelled Cara a "true Topshop
girl".
Kate said: "Her style is confident and playful
and she can be sophisticated and chic as easily as she can be cool and
casual. Cara is a true Topshop girl.
"Putting her spin
on everything she makes the Topshop collection her own. Her uninhibited
natural energy is intoxicating, she is free spirited and fun."
It
isn't the first time model of the moment Cara has worked with the
popular label, having previously appeared in a video for Kate Moss'
collection in 2010.
She also walked for Topshop Unique over three consecutive seasons - SS13, AW13 and SS14 - at London Fashion Week.
